All we know about the Cadillac Celestiq electric!
August 03 2022,
The Cadillac Celestiq has not yet been commercialized and is already getting everyone’s attention in the automobile industry. It isn’t surprising, given that it will be the very first 100% electric Cadillac sedan, and will place itself alongside the crossover Lyriq, at some point in the next few years.
Your Cadillac dealership in Laval, close to Blainville, Montreal and the West Island, tells you more about this Cadillac sedan that will be taking luxury to a whole new level!
Cadillac Celestiq, at a glance
This luxury electric sedan, currently presented as a demo, should be made available on the market around 2025. It will be the Mercedes-Benz’ EQS and Porsche Taycan’s toughest competitor.
Even if little details have been made available to date, Cadillac Canada still maintains that it will be an incredibly luxurious car that will be fully assembled by hand.
Moreover, a recent article announced an 81 million dollar investment at the Warren Technical Center, in Michigan, for the Celestiq to be assembled by hand, in that location.
Cadillac Celestiq Design
The first available images for this new electric Cadillac sedan show an absolutely stunning silhouette, built on the all-new GM BEV3 platform. We can also notice wide air intakes, an illuminated center logo and hidden headlights, which are all features that remind us fondly of the Lyriq.
Moreover, the first pictures of the interior show a large Infotainment screen that is as wide as the dashboard, and luxurious and precise fit and finishes for the seats.
This Cadillac sedan will also have a center console with glass buttons and commands.
The Cadillac Celestiq will undoubtedly knock buyers off their feet and stand out brightly against its rivals!
Engine, autonomy and power
For the time being, no details have yet been revealed in terms of the autonomy or power we can expect the Cadillac Celestiq to offer. We will find out more over the course of the next few months as Cadillac Canada publishes new information about this upcoming ultra-luxurious electric sedan model.
We can expect to see power and performance similar to those of the Lyriq, which offers 340 horsepower and an autonomy of up to 502 kilometers. For the 2023 models, we are estimating a net power of 500 HP.
Which such remarkable numbers –and given the performance offered by current fuel vehicles-, it is easy to imagine that the Celestiq will certainly not disappoint!
We do know that this model will offer either a rear-wheel drive or an all-wheel drive drivetrain.
Technologies and safety features
In this case as well, we know little as to what added technologies to expect aboard the future Cadillac Celestic, except for its SmartGlass roof with programmable opacity that is divided into 4 sections, one for each passenger. This feature will be a first in the industry.
In short
A 100 % electric, futuristic and bold design, cutting-edge added technologies and probably outstanding power: the future Cadillac Celestiq –which will be available in Canada, the United-States and the Middle East-, will certainly surpass all you have seen so far in terms of ultra-luxurious electric vehicles.
